QR codes for construction tools

Identify your tools and open their Allokit record with your phone's camera. No app to install to scan. If someone finds a lost tool, that same QR code shows them your company's contact information.

How it works

One scan, the information anyone needs

Each label is tied to a piece of equipment. Scan the QR code with your phone: what opens depends on whether you're signed in to Allokit.

You're signed in to Allokit

You land straight on the equipment's record. See its photo, its location, its condition, who's responsible for it and its history. You can update the information according to your access rights.

You're not signed in

You land on a public page showing the equipment's photo, its public information and your company's contact details. Whoever finds your tool can reach you, with no Allokit account.

Location on scan

Record the location at the moment of the scan

When a scan happens, Allokit can take the phone's position to record where the equipment is — with the permission of the person scanning.

Your crew can update its location right where they are, without typing an address by hand.

Worth remembering

The position is where the scan happened. A QR label reports nothing between scans.

Public equipment page

A tool that turns up can find its way back to you

A tool left on a job site can be found by someone who has never heard of your company. Scanning its label gives them what they need to reach you.

  • A photo to recognize the equipment.
  • The public information from its record.
  • Your company's contact details, to arrange its return.

No Allokit account and no app needed to view this page.
